The initial catalogue for the Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale, due to take place on Friday, 13th December after racing on the opening day of Cheltenham’s two-day Christmas meeting, is online now at www.tattersallscheltenham.com.

The catalogue includes a selection of particularly well-bred young jumping prospects, including HERON IN THE PARK a Borris House debut-winning Walk In The Park four-year-old. She is a half-sister to the Listed bumper winner, Grade 3 hurdle winner, multiple Grade 1 performer and Champion Hurdle (G1) fourth-placed Glory And Fortune. She will be consigned by Donnchadh Doyle's Monbeg Stables.

DELTA BLUES BELLE, a winner at Knockmullen House for Colin Bowe's Milestone Stables, is a Walk In The Park four-year-old half-sister to the Grade 1 winner and multiple graded race winner Ballycasey.

Also by leading sire Walk In The Park is FRANKIE JOHN, a winner on debut at Boulta for Denis Hogan's Boherna Stables and from the leading jumps family of the Grade 1 winner Empire Of Dirt, WALK TALL, a debut-winning four-year-old at Ballindenisk for Jonathan Fogarty Racing and a close-relation to the brilliant, 26-time winner and dual Cheltenham Festival Champion Hurdle winner Hurricane Fly

Doyle also offers CATCHINTSAVO (Walk In The Park), who finished second in the four-year-old geldings' maiden at Borris House to fellow sale entrant COSMOS D'AINAY. He is by Muhtathir from the family of Crystal D'Ainay and is to be sold by Sam Curling's Skehanagh Stables.

Milestown Stables is consigning its winning five-year-old Kapgarde mare BOBBI WITH AN I. She was an impressive winner at Lingstown at the end of November and is out of a half-sister to the multiple Grade 3 hurdle winner Monsieur Lecoq.

The UK point-to-point field is set to be represented by SINCHI ROCA (Getaway), a debut four-year-old winner at Larkhill for Eamonn Donnabhain's Orchard Stables, JACK THE LAD (Linda's Lad), a 2m4f debut-winning four-year-old at Hexham for John Dawson Racing. The Lesley Coltherd-trained four-year-old CARLENRIG (Soldier Of Fortune), winner of the maiden at the same Hexham meeting, is also catalogued

The Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale is a consistent source of top-class jumps horses and has produced three Grand National winners and 10 Cheltenham Festival winners, headed up by the Grade 1 winners Shishkin, Sir Gerhard and Fayonagh.

The sale's latest star performer is the 2023 graduate POTTERS CHARM. His impressive victory at the Cheltenham November meeting in the Grade 2 Albert Bartlett Novices' Chase for trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies and owners El Rincon has seen him go to the head of Timeform's novice hurdle ratings for the 2024-25 season on a mark of 144. He is due to run next in the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle at the Newbury Christmas meeting.

In Ireland, there was a 1-2 for Tattersalls Cheltenham-sold horses in the Grade 2 Craddockstown Novice Chase with the exciting novice chaser Touch Me Not, a previous UK point-to-point winner, leading home Farren Glory, while there was a 1-2-3 in the Grade 2 Florida Pearl Novices Chase at Punchestown, the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle winner Stellar Story getting his chase career off to the perfect start.

Further entries for the Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale will be taken from this weekend’s Irish point-to-point meetings at Boulta, Ballycrystal and Tattersalls, and from the UK's meetings at Wadebridge and Chaddesley Corbett, the latter meeting featuring the Tattersalls Cheltenham-sponsored four-year-old maiden.

Last year's winner JUST A ROSE, trained by Tom Ellis, was subsequently sold at the Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale for £175,000, a joint-record price for a British-trained point-to-pointer, while the runner-up COUNTRY MILE, sold at the same sale for £80,000 by Francesca Poste's Station Yard, is now a winner under Rules and finished second in the Grade 2 Newton Novices' Hurdle at Haydock in November.

The catalogue and race replays can be viewed online at www.tattersallscheltenham.com with printed catalogues available at the Tattersalls Cheltenham Charles Turner sales office from Wednesday, 11th December.
