Joint top price of £190,000 headlines the Tattersalls Cheltenham November Sale

Tattersalls Cheltenham November Sale concluded with two horses fetching the top price of £190,000 along with an increased median of £65,000 (+8%), an average of £77,375 and an aggregate of £3,095,000. The clearance finished on par to 2017at 91%. 

The first of these was the Denis Murphy trained Grey Getaway. Placed 2nd on his only run in the four-year-old Maiden at Dromahane, the son of Getaway, who boasts a serious pedigree with See More Business and Splash Of Ginge further down the page, was sold to Paul Nicholls for £190,000 (Lot 39). 

Muckamore, who was placed 2nd on his debut appearance in the four-year-old Maiden at Loughanmore for Colin McKeever will also head to the Ditcheat Stables. Paul Nicholls teamed up with agent Tom Malone to secure the Sholokhov gelding for £190,000. Again, boasting a top-class pedigree with Strong Run and Leading Run both featuring on the page. Elusive Belle became the fifth most expensive filly to be sold in the Cheltenham Sales Arena. The four-year-filly, who was placed in two Bumpers including the Listed EBF Mucklemeg Mares Flat Race at Gowran Park for Peter Fahey was sold for £180,000 when knocked down to Highflyer Bloodstock (Lot 20). 

At the conclusion of the sale, Director of Horses in Training Sales Richard Pugh commented; 
 
"Tonight's sale showed that the ferocious demand for form horses and proven point to pointers continues. 12 horses surpassed £100,000, with 40 of the 44 lots offered exchanging hands and contributed to the strong clearance rate of 91% and a rise in the median of 8%. 
 
"We now look forward to attracting more of the same calibre of horse focusing on the Cheltenham December Sale, Friday 14 December."
