Debut Point-to-Point Winners Headline Catalogue For Tattersalls Online NH & Point-to-Point 16th December Sale
Debut point-to-point winners JET POWERED, MADMANSGAME and HALKA DU TABERT headline the catalogue for the Tattersalls Online NH & Point-to-Point 16th December Sale which has been published online and can now be viewed at www.tattersallsonline.com.
JET POWERED made a winning debut at the weekend, landing the 4yo Maiden at Borris House. Coming home eight lengths clear of the second, the JET AWAY gelding made the perfect start to his career. He’s a half-brother to WESTERNER LADY, a Grade 2 winner over hurdles and multiple Grade 2 and Grade 3 placed over fences, and was bought by Leamore Horses for €45,000 as a store at last year’s Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale.
MADMANSGAME was victorious in the 4YO Geldings Maiden (Div 1) at Boulta on Sunday, 12th December. The son of BLUE BRESIL hit the front three fences from home and ran out a commanding winner. Monbeg Stables’ €80,000 Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale purchase is a half-brother to GENTLEMANSGAME, a €250,000 Tattersalls Cheltenham November Sale purchase last year before going on to win a Novice Hurdle and place in two Grade 1s and a Grade 2 in his only starts under Rules.
Also creating a fine impression on debut at Borris House was HALKA DU TABERT, victorious by a staggering 45 lengths. The daughter of BALKO took up the running after the fifth from home and proceeded to power clear of her rivals, jumping the last 30 lengths ahead and running out a facile winner. Out of the Listed winning mare NASKA, the four-year-old will be offered by James Doyle’s Baltimore Stables.
Other winners from Sunday’s point-to-point meetings to feature in the catalogue are Milestone Stables’ five-year-old DOCTOR DINO gelding GOLD EMERY, half-brother to Grade 1 Novice Hurdle winner CILAOS EMERY, and Padraig Butler Racing’s five-year-old FAME AND GLORY mare FONS VIVUS, a half-sister to the high-class FINAL NUDGE.
Harristown Stables’ will offer the four-year-old WALK IN THE PARK mare MULLENBEG who was last seen finishing second to DEEPLY SUPERFICIAL, the £385,000 top lot at the Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale.
Completing the catalogue is UP AND OUT, a three-year-old PRIDE OF DUBAI filly who is declared to run at Newbury on Wednesday, 15th December, in the Fillies' "Junior" Open National Hunt Flat Race for Darren Bunyan.
